24 Aug 92 Jim - Enclosed are two new disks for your Kaypro, along with the Wordstar disk that you sent me. They should put you into operation, I think. On examination, your Wordstar disk is indeed SSDD and CP/M 2.2G! I thoroughly baffled about just what you have! I wondered if perhaps booting on a SS disk would preclude the system from reading a DS disk, so tried it on a 2X that I have here. No problem, it read a DS disk in drive B with no hesitation. I have no practical way of checking what the result might be with SS drives, so I cannot test that. Perhaps, someday you will have someone get into the thing and see what the drives really are. That might answer one question anyway. But for now, this should permit you to operate. By the way, I believe that you will need to use the COPYSS program rather than the COPY one in order to format Single-Sided disks. You might want to experiment with that, however. Let me know if I can be of further help. - don
