        a.  _Description of Jurisdiction (Cont'd)_.

            (1)  One mobile unit in the Chief of Police's squad car connecting to the Countywide Kern County Sheriff's Office dispatcher in Mojave and all KCSO mobile units operating in the Indian Wells Valley.

            (2)  One mobile unit in the First District Supervisor's Field Representaive's car connected to the Desert Net through CONTROL FIVE in Mojave.

            (3)  A Kern County Fire Dept. FM radio system connected with the Countywide Kern County Fire Department radio system with a base station and four mobile units located a the Kern County Fire Staion, 139 E. Las Flores Avenue.

            (4)  The China Lake Security Police Dept.'s connection with the Desert Net is available if the EOC connection is put out of operaion for any reason.

            (5)  The Indian Wells Valley County Water District FM radio system with a base staion at the Water District Office at 502 W. Ridgecrest Blvd., three mobile units and two walkie-talkies on a frequency of 153.635.

            (6)  The Continental Telephone Company District Office has several communication systems:

                 --Seventy FM long-range "maintenance channel" mobile units with a base station at 520 S. China Lake Blvd.

                 --The telephone system itself with four independent generator emergency power systems, one each in Ridgecrest, China Lake, Trona, and Inyokern.

                 --Microwave telephone communicaions with San Bernadino and an agreement with Pacific Telephone to fly in by hilicopter a mobile microwave van in a matter of hours in the event of collapse of the existing microwave facilities in this Valley.
