Communications Equipment

The main console is equipped with the following frequencies:


a.  Ridgecrest Police

    (1)  The Ridgecrest Police module has 4 frequencies.  Channel #1 and channel #2 are used for all routine police traffic.  Channel #1 transmits via the repeater on Government Peak thus can be copied over a larger area.  #1 should be used by all field units and control.  #2 transmits direct to field unit or control and should be used on all portables and for car to car traffic.  A unit on #1 will copy all traffic on #2 and vice versa.
