Learning SELECT can save you from hours of tedious mechanical tasks and time-consuming busy-work. Best of all, SELECT is easy to learn. TEACH will not show you everything that SELECT can do, but you will learn enough so that you can begin creating and editing documents on your own. If this is the first time you have used TEACH, follow the program from beginning to end. It will take you about 90 minutes. If you just want to refresh your memory, choose one of the lessons from the TEACH menu, which will appear soon. The cursor is that little square (or underline) you see when you first load your program. The cursor tells you where you are on the screen. When you type a character, it appears where the cursor was. These are your cursor controls. To move the cursor, you press these keys. On many computer terminals, if you hold the cursor key down, the cursor will keep moving in that direction.
