MEMO: TO S-100 GROUP FROM: BOB GROPPO RE: ONGOING ITEMS DATE: 6/21/84 Norm, I believe Kevin B and I understand the problem with the WB14 and the Trinity configuration with MOS. We have re-arranged the interrupt structure for the 68K and it is not compatible with MOS. I'll be in this A.M. to talk over problems so get them together because I have to be at Unisoft in the P.M. I'll have to check further on pricing of 5412 and 5619. This seems drastically wrong. In my office on the wall is a chart of parts and costs--probably a more realistic price is on there but we'll talk about it when I come in. Is %take fixed so it returns a prompt when finished?? My copy (from the 1.67 patch disk) doesn't. Also regarding cu... does %! run a shell command and return to cu correctly? It doesn't on my machine. NOTE: My 1.67 patch disk worked funny. I loaded it o.k. and updated and the sum came out correct. But when I went to reboot, it did not come out as a file to boot option although it was in my / directory and it had the correct sum. I guess it didn't have the "large" bit set or something cause it was executable. Anyway I copied it to another file, erased micronix and moved it back and then it came up as file to boot option. Note this was one of our standard patch disks too!. Kevin M., Please find in my directory (/a/bob/Trinity) the trnspecs.doc message with my comments inbedded in it. I have no problem with the dealaer memo document just comments on the spec. The updated commented on is also on the floppy in the "b" drive. Splendor, Please stuff all components possible in the SP188 slave board as soon as possible so we can start debugging it! Kevin B. I have Ken Tolland working on schematics for the SP188. Please let him know I'll be in this A/M to answer questions on it! Did you locate the SP188 parts list O.K.? I beleive it to be accurate but you might have Splendor check it. We are going to need to burn new PALS (14L4) for the 68K CPU board and need a tube of them. We are also going to need some blank 2732A-20 chips for the CPU68K. We will also need some 7649 Bi-polar proms for the HDC/DMA 14D-G and 15d-G locations for Trinity. We need to keep up on more power supply samples. Please get with Kevin M to be sure these get flushed out of Japan. What about the new Trinity logo plate for the show machines? Trinity is going to need data cables which have the following pinout: 2 - 2 3 - 3 7 - 7 20 - 20 Trinity won't run at all without pin 20 support!! end -bjg- 21-jun-84
