<H3>Utuilities</H3>

<P>The command "txt2wng" ("Text2Wang" on windows), located in the package install directory,
may be used to convert (almost) plain ASCII text to tape images suitable
for use with this Wang 1200 simulator. The following restrictions on the text
must be observed:

<UL>
<LI>Lines must be no longer than 100 characters, including the CR-LF.
<LI>Only a subset of 7-bit ASCII is supported, as can be converted to
the 88-position type-ball of the IBM Selectric.
<LI>CODE characters must be enclosed in square brackets [].
The standard escapes \n, \b, and \t are supported in CODE characters.
<LI>Underlining is not (yet) supported.
<LI>If a file contains and End-Of-Document CODE (i.e. [/]), it must be at the
end of the file (anything after will be skipped). If no EOD exists,
one will be added.

<P>The input files are assumed to be named "*.txt" and output files
will be created as "*.wpt". If no files are specified on the command,
stdin/stdout are used.

<H3>Installing on Linux/BSD</H3>
Open/unpack the package and run the INSTALL command.
The install location should be "wang1200wps" in your "HOME" directory.
This includes installing "Wang1200Files" (sample documents)
in your "HOME" directory.
This folder is also used
to store any documents you create. Another location may be chosen
in the preferences menu.
Inside "wang1200wps" is an UNINSTALL command, if needed.

<H3>Installing on Windows</H3>
<P>Run the package (EXE file) and it should get installed, complete with example
files. The install location should be "wang1200wps" in your "HOME" directory.
This includes installing "Wang1200Files" (sample documents)
in your "HOME" directory.
This folder is also used
to store any documents you create. Another location may be chosen
in the preferences menu.
Inside "wang1200wps" is an uninstall command, if needed.

<H3>Installing on OSX</H3>
<P>Open the package image file.
<P>You may "drag-n-drop" the program icon to your desktop or dock.

<P>You may also drag-n-drop the "Wang1200Files" folder to your home directory,
or other location, to get the sample documents.

<P>The Uninstall item in this package may be used to uninstall this program,
or you can simply move the program icon, from desktop or dock, to the trash.
