The Max-80 was a computer made by Lobo Drives, similar to the TRS-80
Model III but not fully compatible, and with some Model 4-ish
extensions.

A version of LDOS 5 was available for the Max-80. The operating
system is compatible with Model III programs, but the disk will not
boot on a Model III due to the differences in hardware drivers
required to support the Max-80.

The Max-80 LDOS 5.1.3 image included here is 80 track, double sided,
double density. The .dsk file will not boot on any known emulator,
but it can be read as a data disk under LDOS or LS-DOS on an emulated
Model I, III, or 4. It should be possible to copy the image back to a
real floppy using such an emulator and boot the real floppy on a real
Max-80.

I don't know what the last version of LDOS issued for the Max-80 was.
It's quite possible that something newer than 5.1.3 was released; if
so, I'd appreciate a copy. Thanks to Robert L. Squires Jr. for
supplying a copy of 5.1.3.
