Hi Laurens and Maarten,

I am sending to you three programs:

SNAFU.BAS - The first version, presented at MSX JAU 98 (23&24/05
-1998), with built-in ML part.
Connect the cables, RUN, type in how
many players are connected in the ring (2-14), and type the player
number (1,2,...) in
each MSX.
After all players typed in, the game starts.

---

SN.BAS - The loader/starter of the second version, presented at MSX JAU
98+ (31/10,01&02/11 - 1998), all in ML made by my brother Weber.
Connect the cables, RUN. It Bloads SN.BIN and just ask you your player
number (1-14).
After all players typed it in, the game starts. In this version you
don't need to type how many players are connected in the ring.
Press ESC to skip COMM routines, and SHIFT+CONTROL+GRAPH+CODE to end
the program. Or both if the game hangs (if the cables disconnect, for
example).
If you look in the BASIC listing, there is a delay value you can
change. I don't remember if it's from 0-255 or 1-255. You can test
another values, always choosing the same delay in all MSXes.
SN.BIN - The game in ML block. Loaded/runned by SN.BAS

You see YOUR laserbike in YOUR screen as a blinking point.

After a crash, your computer waits for the start of the next round. The
MSX tells to everybody who won the round.

All MSXes in the ring MUST have 3.58 Mhz clock and the same interrupt
frequence. All joynet cables must be connected at MSXes JOYSTICK PORTs
2(or B).

Player numbers MUST be typed in ascending order, following the S->R
link sequence.

For two MSXes (S = send / R = receive)

------PLR 1------>>-------PLR 2-------
              S R

              R S
-----------------<<-------------------

For Three:

------PLR 1------>>-------PLR 2------->>---------PLR 3 --------
              S R S R

                        R S
---------------------------<<----------------------------------

And so on...

Having any doubts, just mail me.
Thank you for testing/showing the game.
You can copy it to everybody.
