O2ADEL COM OSB2AMS COMUOSB2AMS DOC M Osborne I to Amstrad CP/M+ screen translator -------------------------------------------- by John Rawnsley OSB2AMS.RSX is an RSX to translate Osborne I screen codes into those of the Amstrad CP/M+ machines (i.e. CPC6128, PCW8256, PCW8512, PCW9512). It allows programs installed for the Osborne I to run on the Amstrad machines without further modification provided output is by means of BDOS functions 2 or 6. An example of such programs is the database suite PCFILE. OSB2AMS.COM is a program to attach the RSX to the operating system. It should be run once before using the Osborne programs. This is done simply by typing OSB2AMS at the CP/M prompt. This makes the Amstrad screen behave like the Osborne's so far as the escape sequences are concerned. It will remain attached to the system until it is deliberately removed. In particular, it means a suite of Osborne programs can be run correctly without needing to attach the RSX to each of them. When you have finished using the Osborne programs and want to run your usual Amstrad programs it is necessary to remove the RSX or else the screen will behave incorrectly. This is accomplished by typing O2ADEL at the CP/M prompt. John Rawnsley, June 1988. en will behave incorrectly. This is accomplished by typing O2ADEL at the CP/M prompt.
